More flights to Northeast U.S. canceled at SRQ, Tampa

As a large snowstorm promising to dump between 1 and 3 feet of snow moves through the northeastern United States, officials continue to cancel flights to and from the region.

At Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport, several flights were cancelled Tuesday morning, and four more scheduled for Tuesday morning were off the board. Affected destinations were New York and Boston.

However, as of 11:25 a.m., a JetBlue flight scheduled to leave SRQ for New York-LaGuardia airport at 5:25 p.m. was not listed as cancelled.

At Tampa International Airport, all flights leaving for Philadelphia, New York City, Newark, N.J., Hartford, Conn., Boston, Providence, R.I., and Washington Dulles International Airport were cancelled up to 5 p.m. Tuesday.

All flights arriving from New York City, Philadelphia, Boston, Providence, Newark, Albany, and Hartford to the Tampa International Airport are cancelled until 10 p.m. Tuesday.
