Florida woman with possible lung cancer thinks it was just the fruit pit she swallowed
Doctors noticed a dark spot on her lung after she coughed up blood, according to a report on WTSP.com.
Blanca Riveron told a daughter who lives in Cuba, who reminded her 62-year-old mom about eating a piece of loquat-like fruit called nispero three decades ago.
"I told my daughter no, it can't be it. It's been 28 years — I mean it can't be it," Riveron said.
A few weeks later, after a second endoscopy, the Seminole Heights woman coughed out a pit.
Now, the nagging coughing she has had for years has all but disappeared.
