MANATEE -- A man was charged in connection to two burglaries that have occurred at several local antique businesses, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
Michael Gambuzza, 46, was arrested Monday after deputies executed a search warrant at his home and found items duringr burglaries committed throughout the area, according to a news release.
According to the sheriff's office, precious metals and jewelry were primarily targeted recently at nighttime burglaries at several businesses. Two of the businesses mentioned in a release were Plain & Fancy Antiques Feed Store Antiques, 4407 US 301 N., Ellenton, and Feed Store Antiques, 6804 Cortez Road W.
he sheriff's office said the businesses were burglarized late at night on Sept. 12.
Deputies said a ledger with address information of other antique dealers was found in Gambuzza's possession. According to a release, the ledger contained information on antique dealers located throughout the Tampa Bay area.
"Currently, Gambuzza is charged with two offenses but more charges will be forthcoming," the sheriff's office said.
