SARASOTA -- The Sarasota Police Department is trying to identify the two women captured by a security camera as they stole hair extensions on three separate occasions from a Sarasota hair salon.
On July 21, 23 an 24, the women stole about $2,000 in hair extensions from Mimi's Hair Salon, in the 2000 block of North Washington Boulevard, according to a news release
"On July 21, 2015, suspect one enters the store and removes a package of hair extensions off the wall and puts them in her purse and leaves the store," the release states. "On July 23, 2015, suspect two enters the store and also removes a package of hair extensions off the wall and puts them in her purse. Several minutes later, the same woman climbs onto a chair and removes more packages of hair extensions and puts them into her purse.
"On July 24, 2015, suspect one comes into camera view and is seen removing packages of hair extensions and putting them in her purse. Several minutes later, suspect two comes into camera view, appearing to make a purchase, before handing her purse off to suspect one. Suspect one is seen putting more packages of hair extensions in suspect two's purse," the news release states.
