MANATEE -- The National Weather Service has issued an urban and small stream flood advisory for north-central Manatee County until 6 p.m.
At 5:07 p.m., Doppler radar indicated heavy rain from thunderstorms, the Weather Service said in a statement.
"This will cause urban and small stream flooding in the advisory area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen," the Weather Service said.
"Flooding will remain over mainly rural areas of north-central Manatee County.

The advisory is in effect until 6 p.m.
Otherwise, the Weather Service said there is a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms in Bradenton on Friday night.
