SARASOTA — Two store clerks were cited Wednesday after Juvenile Alcohol Task Force agents say they sold alcohol to minors, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office.
Undercover agents visited 32 convenience and liquor stores in Sarasota County, including a popular beach location, according to a news release.
Clerks at the Stop ‘n' Shop, 4201 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota and ABC Liquors, 3555 Clark Road, Sarasota were issued misdemeanor notices to appear in court.
All other stores visited will receive a letter to commend owners and employees. Operation results are forwarded to the Florida Bureau of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco, Department of Business & Professional Regulation, according to the report.
