SARASOTA -- To help reduce the number of vehicles driving to Lido Key for the Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix Festival, free trolley rides will be offered between the Palm Avenue Garage and Lido Beach Pavilion.
Four trolley cars will operate continuously from 9 a.m.–6 p.m. Saturday, July 4, and Sunday, July 5. Pickup and dropoff points will be on the ground floor of the Palm Avenue Garage and Lido Beach Pavilion.
Festivalgoers are encouraged to use the free service to ease traffic and parking congestion.
Parking regulations will be enforced on Lido Key during the powerboat races, particularly those causing public safety concerns such as parking on sidewalks. blocking street corners and obscuring stop signs.

Right-of-way parking on the street shoulder will be allowed during the races. Drivers should never be charged a fee to park on the public right-of-way.
The free trolley service is being funded via two donations to Suncoast Charities for Children from the Downtown Improvement District and A.D. Morgan.
The Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix Festival is produced by and proceeds benefit the Suncoast Charities for Children.
