BRADENTON -- A man police say robbed a Bradenton bank Tuesday afternoon was arrested after a short chase by sheriff's deputies, according to the Bradenton Police Department.
Brian Giannolla, 57, was taken in custody and is facing charges of robbery and fleeing to elude.
At about 3:45 p.m., the suspect entered the Bank of the Ozarks, 2105 59th St. W., Bradenton, covered his face and implied to tellers that he had a weapon, Bradenton Police Capt. William Fowler said. He then went around the counter and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register.
The suspect fled the bank, but witnesses were able to give police a description of his vehicle, Fowler said.
