Bradenton woman charged with threatening boyfriend with gun

MANATEE -- A Bradenton woman was arrested early Tuesday and charged with shooting a gun into the ceiling to threaten her boyfriend, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Linda Sramek, 60, and her 54-year-old boyfriend were arguing in a residence in the 5400 block of 26th Street West in Bradenton at 2:18 a.m., according to a release.

Sramek retrieved a revolver during the argument and pointed it at her boyfriend, deputies said. The two continued to argue, and Sramek pointed the gun at the ceiling and fired.

Sramek then retreated into a bedroom of the home and deputies were called, according to a release. Deputies arrested Sramek without incident.

She was charged with aggravated domestic battery and is being held in the Manatee County jail without bond.
