Bradenton police looking for man who stole 3 bikes at downtown bus station

BRADENTON -- Bradenton police are looking for a thief investigators said stole three bicycles from a bus station.

At 1:30 p.m. May 12, three juveniles had parked and locked their bicycles at the MCAT station in the 600 block of West 12th Street in Bradenton, according to a news release. When they returned at 8:31 p.m. they found that their bicycles had been stolen.

urveillance video obtained by police revealed that at 3:21 p.m., a man cut the locks on the bicycles and rode off with all three bikes, heading east on Sixth Avenue West.

The thief was described as man between 35 and 40 years old, with long wavy brown hair and a patchy brown beard. He was seen wearing a dark shirt with the sleeves cut off and light colored khaki shorts, and he was carrying a backpack.
