BRADENTON — A missing man considered endangered was found Thursday night at a local hospital, according to the Bradenton Police Department.
Bruce David Smith Jr., 72, had suffered a possible stroke and was unable to communicate with hospital staff. He was listed as a John Doe, according to police.
Smith, who has onset dementia, was last seen Sunday. At 7 a.m. Thursday, police responded to a residence in the 2500 block of 18th Street West for a report of a missing/endangered adult.
Smith has trouble speaking due to a medical condition. Police said he left his residence without his cellphone and wallet and his vehicles were still at his home.
According to police, Smith’s family has been contacted and made aware of his location.
