SARASOTA — A section of Interstate 75 in Charlotte County was closed both ways at 6:36 p.m. Sunday by a wildfire in the area and fully reopened at 10:48 p.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The northbound lanes of I-75 in Sarasota County are now open. The southbound lanes are still closed at the 179 mile marker at Toledo Blade.
Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate route if possible. The detour route is U.S. 41.
