Bradenton police charge man with domestic battery, false imprisonment and depriving victim of ability to call 911

BRADENTON — A domestic violence incident in Bradenton at 6 a.m. Sunday left a female victim with minor injuries, according to the Bradenton Police Department.

The victim ran to a neighbor’s residence at Citrus Meadows Apartments, 2110 16th Ave. E., shouting for help following a physical altercation, according to the police report.

When the neighbor opened the door, she saw the suspect grab the victim and force her back into their apartment, according to the report.Police forced entry into the apartment and the suspect, not named in the report, was arrested.

The victim denied medical attention. Charges include domestic battery, depriving victim of the ability to call 911 and false imprisonment, according to the report.
