BROWARD COUNTY -- A 50-year-old Bradenton woman passenger was killed and a 52-year-old male Bradenton driver suffered minor injuries after a one-vehicle crash at 8:20 a.m. Sunday at mile marker 44 of Interstate 75 in Broward County.
The 2003 Toyota Tundra was traveling in the outside lane when the left rear tire blew, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The driver reportedly lost control of the Tundra, entered the south grass shoulder, overturned several times and hit a fence.
The passenger was pronounced deceased on scene.
The driver was treated at Broward General Hospital. Alcohol is not suspected as a crash factor, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. No charges were filed.
