No one arrested during peaceful ANSWER protest in Bradenton

The Act Now to Stop War and End Racism Coalition staged a peaceful protest at First Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, according to the Bradenton Police Department.

At 5:40 p.m. Saturday, a group of about 50 people from ANSWER walked from northbound on First Street East to the intersection with Manatee Avenue East where they blocked First Street East, according to BPD.

Police advised the group of the violation of law and it moved north to the Riverwalk, met for approximately one hour, then moved back to their original starting location. The protest ended at approximately 7:30 p.m.

No arrests were made, according to BPD.
