SARASOTA -- A crash involving a semi-truck on I-75 in Sarasota Friday morning only resulted in minor injuries, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The 45-year-old driver of the semi was southbound in the left lane on I-75 at 2:45 a.m. Friday south of the Clark Road exit, troopers said. A 59-year-old driver of a Ford F250 was also southbound in the right lane.
The semi experienced a failure in its front right tire, causing the semi to veer to the right, crossing through the left and center lanes and into the left side of the Ford F250, according to a release.
Both vehicles veered off into the right shoulder of the highway, troopers said. The driver of the Ford only had minor injuries, and the semi driver was not injured.
