Southeast High’s 22nd annual golf tournament is May 22 at Tara Golf & Country Club.

It benefits Seminoles athletics, the booster club and college scholarships.

n The 25th Annual Michelle Wells Memorial Golf Tournament raised almost $33,000 at Waterlefe Golf and River Club, an event record.

The tournament has raised nearly $386,000 for the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches and is in honor of former Sheriff Charlie Wells’ daughter, who died in a car crash at 19.

The men’s winning foursome: Greg Buchanan, Ken Dorsey, Scott Lamoreaux and Kip Radigan.

The women’s winners: Chris Martin, Christine Thomason, Dana Tisdale and Linda Zorbo.

n A bow to LRHS prom queen Kristi Todd from proud pop John, brother Jeremy and grandpa Joe.

n After boyfriend Brett Reeder graduated from UF with a degree in food and resource economics in December, Amanda Jean Johnson matched it May 1. Cheers from parents Brett and Brenda Johnson and Gary and Brenda Reeder.

n MHS hosts “Jazz in the Courtyard” tonight to benefit the band program. It’s at 6 p.m., it’s free and bring a lawn chair.

n Saint Stephens’ Kathleen Addison is Yale-bound and a National Merit Honor Society inductee.

n MHS cheerleader Grace Gurucharri is “Sweet 16” and big sis Corrie graduates summa cum laude from Tulane with a master’s in accounting and the Tulane 34 Award. Cheers from Jean, Mike and Brian.
