Junior leaves impression at Miss SEHS

Junior Jessica Amaya didn’t win Miss Southeast, but made a lasting impression.

During the talent portion of the March 25 pageant, she delivered a dramatic monologue while holding a portrait of an injured Haitian man, speaking as his voice, praying and hoping for rescue after the Jan. 12 earthquake.

A sensitive, yet powerful performance.

Scarlett Davis is the new Miss Southeast. Her court includes Jessica Holt, Samantha Marvel and Dakota Schoettle.

Celeste Matthews won Miss Congeniality.
