‘Beast Feast’ at Southeast in February

Southeast’s Seminoles will host “Beast Feast” from 3 to 8 p.m. Feb. 5 to benefit baseball, softball, cross country and track.

The feast will include pulled pork and ribs with all the fixin’s.

There also will be a silent auction.

n When Leslie Adent’s daughter Heather and son-in-law Kevin flew to Orlando for the Champs Sports Bowl between Wisconsin and Miami, they brought nothing more than shorts and T-shirts.

“They thought they were going to sit in the sun,” said the Southern Manatee Fire Rescue deputy chief, chuckling. “They ended up buying coats, sweaters and pants. They said they’d never been so cold.”

Considering they’re from Elkhorn, Wis., that’s saying something.

n That wily ’ole stork is due in August for Jennifer and Brian Blanco.
