VIN MANNIX column | Coach, can we see some ID, please?

One day Stan Brown will appreciate this.

The youthful Saint Stephen’s Episcopal School football coach is now coaching the Falcons middle school girls basketball team.

The other day one of his players asked the former Manatee High Hurricane:

“So Coach, where do you go to school?”

Stan, who is happily married and has two children, is 26.

n Oh, no! Say it ain’t so! Bob Harrigan hits the Big 5-0! The milestone lands on Channel 7’s chief meteorologist Monday.

Susan, Emma and the rest of Team Eason are amused.

n LRHS alum and former Silver Star Michelle Beauchamp received her MBA from Full Sail University and delivered the valedictorian speech at commencement in Orlando.

Michelle also got her bachelor’s degree there in film production.

Congrats from parents Sharon and Dave, brother Chris, grandma Nancy Duce, fiance Matt, who is finishing boot camp at Fort Benning, and future mother-in-law Sherry Lowe.

n “Perfesser” Lanny Frattare is in town visiting friends. The retired Pittsburgh Pirates play-by-play man is an assistant professor of communications at Pennsylvania’s Waynesburg University.

n Looking for a stocking stuffer?

Try “Goodbye Sadness, Hello Happiness,” by Bradenton’s Arisson and Maria Dacosta, a Ballard Elementary language teacher.

The book deals with a new perspective on lives and relationships, and is available at amazon.com.

n That’s 50 years of wedded bliss for Phyllis and Tony Borinsky.

n And Cheryl Borinsky is 46.

n Fred Sullivan and Sean Murphy attended the Saints’ 38-7 romp over the Bucs last Sunday in Tampa.

A longtime New Orleans restaurateur now tending bar at Beach Bistro, Sullivan enjoyed it.

Murphy?

“Know the bumpersticker, ‘I’d Rather Be Sailing’? That was me,” he said.

n Jennifer Scott is 29. Again. Gary is amused.

n Check out Sunday’s 40th Birthday/Benefit for Chop Shop’s Robby Atturo, 2 to 6 p.m. at the Oasis Lounge, 6006 Manatee Ave. W., with music by Rye Road.
