Family’s plan should include doc’s discount

Think you’ve had some bad breaks?

Check out Dustin Daughtrey and sister Erin Tumolo.

A South Manatee firefighter, Dustin, 25, blew out his ACL and it wasn’t in the line of duty or from playing hockey like in his salad days at Manatee High.

It was at a concert mosh pit.

Then Erin, 28 and a mom, who was all-state soccer at MHS a decade ago, dusted off her cleats for a co-ed soccer league — and tore her ACL.

Dr. Daniel Lamar of Coastal Orthopedics, who operated on their mom, Cindy, years ago, operated on Dustin last week and will do so on Erin next week.
