Partygoers let loose at Lakewood Ranch’s Holiday Dinner Dance

The Lakewood Ranch Holiday Dinner Dance just gets better every year. Lyn Griffith organized the first party 10 years ago and it was attended by an intimate group.

A decade later, Lyn is still coordinating the details and several hundred partygoers packed the Lakewood Ranch Country Club for one of the most eagerly anticipated community events.

Everyone wore their party clothes and came ready to let loose and forget about the gloomy economic situation.

Stan and Ellen Niemi and Joe and Carol Fanchi live in Edgewater Point and shared a table. Stan was celebrating the completion of the neighborhood decorating project he undertook with Warren Woodmansee.

The duo made two wooden soldiers standing nine feet tall to guard the entrance to their development.

In the “girls just wanna have fun” category, Pat Gignac, Pam Rigsby, Maria Hutchinson, Karen Singleton, Barbara Ryan, Cindy Toth, Charlene Betourney and Linda Kammerer were having a great time. They brought their guys along but enjoyed some female bonding.

Other guests included community activities director Lori Basilone with her husband, Mike; Kathy and Alan Brice; Gloria and Lou French’ Marvin and Joyce Meadows and Laura Dezelski and her husband, Ron Winkler.

Susan Wilcox, a Florida native, has lived in Bradenton for more than 20 years. She has been active in many local organizations as a volunteer or an employee.
