Robin Williams will join the staff at New College of Florida as dean of student affairs in mid-July, officials announced Tuesday.
Since September 2012, Williamson has served as assistant dean of student development at Texas Christian University, a private institution in Fort Worth with about 8,600 undergraduate students.
“Robin’s demonstrated record of success over her two decades of experience in college student services make her an ideal choice for our dean of student affairs,” New College President Don O’Shea said in a statement.
At New College, she will oversee residence life, student organizations, student activities, orientation and other programs.
Williamson received her doctorate in higher education administration from University of North Texas in 2010. She has a master’s degree in education from University of South Carolina and received her undergraduate degree from Loyola University Chicago.
