Two members were reappointed to the State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota District Board of Trustees by Gov. Rick Scott Friday afternoon.
Jaymie Carter, 57, and Rod Thomson, 58, were both reassigned to the board. Their terms are slated to begin June 8 and end March 31, 2022.
Carter is a Bradenton realtor with Michael Saunders & Company. She also worked with the Early Learning Coalition of Manatee County as a community awareness and resource cultivation expert. Carter had previously been appointed in late April for a term that ended May 31.
Thomson is the owner of the Sarasota-based public relations company, The Thompson Group.
The appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
