Man walks into 7-Eleven, implies he has gun, walks out with cash, gets arrested

A 7-Eleven store in Bradenton was robbed early Thursday, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office. A suspect was later arrested.

About 2:18 a.m., a man, later identified as Justin Nunley, 35, entered the store and picked up a couple of items before going to the counter, according to a news release.

“The suspect pointed to his waist and implied that he had a gun,” the report states

The man demanded money from the register. He then fled with an undisclosed amount of money, according to the sheriff’s office.

Later in the morning, deputies located a suspect vehicle at a motel on Tamiami Trail and tracked Nunley after he fled the motel room.

Nunley was arrested and charged with robbery and resisting arrest, according to the the sheriff’s office. He was being held without bond at the Manatee County jail.
