Two struck by gunfire at Bradenton mobile home park

BRADENTON -- A man and woman were struck by gunfire after bullets were fired into a Bradenton mobile home shortly after midnight Sunday, according to a Manatee County Sheriff's Office news release.

Deputies responded to a residence at the Orange Grove Mobile Home Park, 2615 Cortez Road, at 12:01 a.m.

A 35-year-old woman, a 36-year-old man and a 50-year-old man were inside the mobile home when a suspect or suspects began shooting into the residence, the release said. The woman and older man were struck by gunfire, but their injuries are not life threatening, the release said.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation continues. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call the sheriff's office at 941-747-3011 or Crime Stoppers at 866-634-TIPS.
