Divers from the Manatee County Sheriff's Office and other officials took to the Manatee River to search for possible evidence in a recent homicide case.
A portion of the Bradenton Riverwalk has been blocked off to pedestrians.
Homicide Detective Jeff Bliss did not say which case authorities were investigating, but he did say it was one in which an arrest had been made and that more arrests were possible.
A double homicide case last week had crime scenes on both sides of the river.
Karl Tuxford, 38, was shot to death in East Bradenton on Jan. 19, and shortly afterward the body of Jordan Finlon, 23, was found along Bishop Harbor Road north of Palmetto. Officials say Finlon was stabbed about 30 times.
Investigators say Tuxford and Finlon knew each other and the the slayings were connected.
Dwayne Cummings, 38, was charged Monday with two counts of murder, on top of earlier charges of armed kidnapping.
Officials have said more arrests may be forthcoming.
Another homicide happened Saturday evening, when Charles Lehnart was shot to death in a Bradenton parking lot.
