The home invasion attempt occurred at 11:33 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of 21st Way East, according to a Bradenton Police Department report.
The suspect, who was known to the resident, was attempting to gain entry through a window when the resident confronted him, the report states.
The victim stated the suspect was holding a knife and threatened him. The suspect fled before police arrived.
