Sarasota police say they've identified man who stole Ralph Lauren belts from Macy's, release 2 without charges

SARASOTA -- Police arrested a man they say stole Ralph Lauren belts from a Macy's on May 11, according to the Sarasota Police Department.

Police asked for help in identifying three people in photos who they believed were involved in the theft, but cleared a man and a woman, according to a release. The man caught on camera stealing the belts was the one arrested.

Charges for grand theft are pending, and police have not yet released the suspect's name.

On May 11, security at the Macy's at the Westfield Southgate Mall in Sarasota saw an unknown man remove three racks of Ralph Lauren leather belts and run, getting into a black, older pickup truck driven by an older man, according to a release.
