Bradenton man charged with auto theft, auto burglary at Lakewood Ranch

LAKEWOOD RANCH -- A Bradenton man was charged with burglary to a conveyance, burglary to a structure, motor vehicle theft, and operating a motor vehicle without a license Saturday night.

The suspect was charged in the burglary of a vehicle at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center, and attempting to take a second vehicle from the nearby Colonial Grande apartments.

The suspect struck another vehicle while attempting to leave in the stolen vehicle, and was found with keys from a vehicle burglarized at the Lakewood Ranch Medical Center, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Shakeem Fleming, 22, was taken into custody at Colonial Grande without incident and transported to Manatee County Sheriff's Office Jail.

He was being held on $5,000 bond Sunday.
