BRADENTON -- A juvenile was arrested after throwing a rock at a passing vehicle on Manatee Avenue just after midnight Saturday, according to the Bradenton Police Department.
At 12:25 a.m. Saturday, the victim, who was driving in the 2100 block of Manatee Avenue East, called police to report that her vehicle had been hit by a rock, according to a report.
Officers located a youth near where the woman's car was reportedly struck and the boy fled when he saw police.
After a brief foot chase, the boy was caught and was arrested.
The juvenile was charged with throwing a deadly missile, criminal mischief and resisting arrest without violence. He was taken to the Juvenile Detention Facility in Bradenton.
No injuries were reported.
