Bradenton man charged after deputies find $6,000 worth of drugs in his home

MANATEE -- A 28-year-old Bradenton man was charged with trafficking in heroin on Thursday after deputies found more than 270 grams of drugs valued at more than $6,000 at his residence, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies executed a search warrant at the home of Kenneth Jackson in the 4900 block of 18th Street West at 5:55 p.m. Thursday, according to a release.

Deputies found 21.6 grams of heroin, valued at $2,100, 205 grams of marijuana, valued at $1,000, 42.3 grams of rock cocaine, valued at $3,000, 4.4 grams of powder cocaine, valued at $350, 2.5 doses of alprazolam, valued at $30, liquid promethazine with codeine, valued at $300, and 34 rounds of ammunition, according to a release.

Jackson was arrested and charged with trafficking in heroin, deputies said. Additional charges are pending and he is being held without bond.
