Bradenton police: Suspect impersonates officer, forces woman to perform sexual acts

BRADENTON -- A woman told police that she was forced to perform sexual acts on a man who told her he was a police officer and would arrest her if she didn't comply, according to the Bradenton Police Department.

The victim said she entered the suspect's car of her own free will early Friday, intending to perform sexual acts on him, according to a release. They drove to a parking lot in the 800 block of 23rd Avenue West.

The suspect then told the woman that they were being recorded and monitored, and that if she did not allow him to perform sexual acts on her and if she didn't do the same to him then he would arrest her, police said.

The victim complied with the suspect's orders and when the suspect dropped her off she called 911, police said. She gave a detailed suspect and vehicle description and police were able to track down both the suspect and the vehicle.

The victim refused to have a rape kit performed on her, according to the release.
