Palmetto police arrest Ellenton fishing rod burglary suspect

MANATEE — A man was charged in a burglary, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, at 12:56 p.m. Tuesday in the 3700 block of Elm Street in Ellenton.

Brad A. Rouzier, 23, was spotted fleeing the area on foot after stealing a fishing rod from Dunnam’s shed, according to the report.

After a long search, deputies said Rouzier was found in the 200 block of U.S. 41 by the Palmetto Police Department and arrested.

According to a report, a second burglary of fishing rods was discovered in the 800 block of Central Ave. but has not been connected to the suspects.
