Bradenton man charged with breaking living room window

MANATEE -- A Bradenton man was charged Sunday with criminal mischief with property damage and resisting an officer without violence, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Mario Pernell Bell, 30, was arrested at 4:37 a.m. Sunday in the 3200 block of Bayshore Gardens Parkway in Bradenton. According to a report, an intoxicated Bell approached two victims at a home because he wanted to argue with them about an incident that occurred in Sarasota. Deputies said Bell then broke out a glass window in the living room but did not go inside. One of the victims witnessed the window break, according to a report.

A deputy who arrived on scene saw two males walking westbound on Bayshore Gardens Parkway. According to a report, a K-9 unit went to check on the males, one of whom took off running northbound and was stopped. The suspect, later identified as Bell, gave deputies the wrong name. He was identified by a witness as the person who broke the window.

According to the sheriff's website, Bell was being held in Manatee County jail on bonds totaling $1,000.
