Burglary suspect arrested after deputies surround Parrish home

PARRISH -- Deputies arrested a burglary suspect after surrounding a home he had fled into, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Noel Lhommedieu, 25, was charged with two counts of violation of probation for DUI and possession of cannabis charges.

Multiple sheriff's office deputies and a helicopter were dispatched at 10:13 p.m. Thursday to the 1800 block of Fort Hamer Road in Parrish in response to a residential burglary alarm.

Deputies learned Lhommedieu fled into a home and a K-9 unit was called in to assist in his apprehension, a report said. When the K-9 unit arrived, deputies had already surrounded the house.

The K-9 handler began to issue a K-9 challenge when he said Lhommedieu called out and surrendered.

Lhommedieu was arrested without further incident and is currently in custody at the Manatee County jail.
