Traffic stop over tinted windows leads to marijuana arrest for Bradenton man

BRADENTON -- A Bradenton man was charged with possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana Tuesday evening, according to the Bradenton Police Department.

Austin D. Oliver, 36, was arrested at 5:13 p.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of 13th Avenue West, Bradenton. According to a report, an officer conducted a traffic stop on Oliver over his suspected illegal window tint. The officer reported a marijuana smell coming from the vehicle and during a search, found three burnt marijuna roaches in Oliver's right front pocket.

According to a report, the officer also found an orange pill container with 19.4 grams of marijuana and a bag of burnt marijuana roaches weighing 2.4 grams without the bag.

Oliver was released the same day on $1,500 bond, according to the sheriff's website.

Oliver was given a written warning for his tinted windows, which Bradenton police say are well below the legal limit, according to a report.
