Palmetto driver cited for I-275 crash involving two other vehicles
MANATEE -- A driver was cited Monday for careless driving in a crash involving two other vehicles on northbound Interstate 275, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
At 8:40 a.m. Monday, 32-year-old Baylie Kull, of Palmetto, was traveling northbound on I-275 in the left lane. According to a report, the northbound traffic was slowing for a crash that occurred just north of mile marker 8. Failing to notice another vehicle slowing down, Kull rear-ended it, which caused the hit vehicle to crash into the median side guardrail.
FHP officials said the second vehicle then crashed into the front left of a third vehicle. There was roadblock initially in the left lane, according to a report, which was later cleared at 9:45 a.m.
Kull suffered minor injuries, as did the 35-year-old driver of the second vehicle and her passenger, who is 4 years old. No one was transported for medical attention and no injuries were reported for the driver of the third vehicle, though the car did receive minor damage, FHP officials said.
