Money spat draws Bradenton police to 2 drug arrests

BRADENTON — A Bradenton man and woman have been arrested on multiple drug charges, according to the Bradenton Police Department.

Bailey Guthy, 18, and Guillermo Santana Garcia, 31, were arrested at 1:24 a.m. Monday in the 1500 block of Fourth Avenue East, according to a report.

Checking into an argument between a male and female over money, police reported Guthy and Santana Garcia were in a car parked on a driveway with the smell of marijuana coming from the car.

The officer found a black pocket book with small baggies of marijuana, meth, crack cocaine and Vicodin, two small baggies of crack cocaine and two pills of Diladon, according to the report.

The suspects were charged with possession of cocaine, crack cocaine, meth and marijuana.

Guthy was being held at the Manatee County jail on a $14,000 bond, according to the sheriff’s website.

Garcia was released Tuesday, according to the sheriff’s website.
