MANATEE — Detectives are searching for the man believed responsible for shooting into the home of his estranged wife, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
Willam O’Neill reportedly went to the home of his estranged wife at about 9:05 a.m. in the 100 block of 58th Street East in Palmetto, according to a news release.
Deputies reported both were drunk and began to argue. O’Neill’s wife, 62, was sitting on the loveseat in the living room when he walked out the sliding glass door across from where she was sitting.
“I’m going to kill you!” deputies report he shouted at her and then grabbed a long rifle about 6 feet from her and fired one round into the wall behind her.
Deputies have not found the shooting suspect. O’Neill is said to be 5-foot-11, weighs 220 pounds with gray hair and blue eyes. He was last seen driving a 2010 red Ford F150ing
No injuries were reported.
