MANATEE -- Florida Highway Patrol troopers are looking for a hit-and-run driver who rear-ended a trailer in south Manatee on Tuesday morning.
About 9:13 a.m. the driver of a dark-colored Acura with a veterans tag attached going north on American Way hit a trailer being towed and stopped at the intersection with New York Avenue, according to a news release.
According to the driver pulling the trailer, the driver of the Acura got out of his car, examined the damage, and then headed northbound on New York Avenue.
The driver of the Acura was described as an "elderly" man, 65 to 75 years old, and wearing a white shirt and glasses, according to the report.
The intersection is within the Trailer Estates neighborhood near Bayshore Gardens.
