MANATEE -- Florida Highway Patrol is looking for a hit-and-run driver involved in an accident on Interstate 75 early Monday.
About 3:20 a.m., a car driven by the hit-and-run driver and a Jeep Wrangler driven by a Bradenton man were heading north on I-75 near University Parkway, when the hit-and-run driver began changing lanes into the center lane to pass the Wrangler. The hit-and-run driver failed to complete the change before reaching the Wrangler and collided with the second vehicle, according to FHP.
The driver of the car, believed to be green in color, then fled the scene, according to a news release. No one was injured.
The driver was described as being in his late 20s or early 30s. The vehicle had damage to the front right side.
