FHP troopers looking for hit-and-run driver who hurt pedestrian

MANATEE -- Florida Highway Patrol was looking for a hit-and-run driver whose vehicle grazed a pedestrian Monday afternoon in Bradenton.

About 4:30 p.m., the pedestrian was crossing the intersection of 15th Street Court East and 51st Avenue East, when he was hit by the side mirror of a Chevrolet Blazer turning left, according to a FHP report.

Troopers say the driver asked the pedestrian if he was OK, before heading south of 15 Street Court East.

The driver was described as a woman in early 20s with blond hair and wearing glasses, according to the report.

The vehicle was described as a 1993 or 1994 gold Chevrolet Blazer.

The pedestrian suffered minor injuries.
