Family and friends of Sheena Morris were marching Thursday in front of the Bradenton Beach City Hall.
Morris' body was found hanging in a shower Jan. 1, 2009, at a Bradenton Beach hotel. Bradenton Beach police ruled the death a suicide.
Ever since, her mother, Kelly Osborn, has been researching and working with other forensic investigators to prove her daughter was killed by someone else.
A special Florida Department of Law Enforcement panel is currently reviewing the case.
Osborn will address Bradenton Beach Mayor John Shaughnessy and the City Commission during a meeting at 1 p.m.
This comes a few weeks after Justice For Sheena marches were done in Tampa and New York.
On. Aug. 7 the FBI sent a letter to Bradenton Beach Police Chief Sam Speciale, which said the FBI cannot offer investigative assistance in the case because it is "lacking a federal nexus or statutory authority."
Speciale has said he believes his detectives carried out a proper investigation.
