Man robbed in Bradenton when all he wanted was 'female business'

MANATEE -- A man was robbed early Monday when he went to a house "to conduct female business," according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

About 3:36 a.m.. the victim and a friend were walking to a Circle K store on First Street when they were approached by the two suspects, a man and a woman, who asked "if they wanted to conduct female business at her home just down the road," the report states.

They agreed and all four walked to a house in the 3000 block of First Street East. The friend stayed outside, and once the victim and suspects were inside, the male suspect pulled a knife and demanded money from the victim, according to the sheriff's office.

As the victim handed over his cash, he was punched in the face, leaving a slight bruise to the left eye.

Responding deputies went to the house, but the suspects were not there, according to the report.
