FHP looks for driver in Bradenton hit-and-run accident

MANATEE -- Florida Highway Patrol is looking for a driver who early Monday hit a pedestrian and fled the scene of the accident, according to a news release.

About 3:15 a.m., a 33-year-old woman was outside looking for her cat when she stepped into 29th Avenue East just west of 18th Street East and was struck by the car. The driver did not step and was last seen heading north on 18th Street East, according to a news release.

The woman suffered minor injuries.

The car was described as a dark-colored, four-door sedan with chrome sides and wheels, according to a news release.
