Florida ‘prophet’ destroys psychic store, smashes glass, smears blood with message

A Florida man claiming to be a prophet went nuts at a Stuart store called the Psychic Corner, wrecking the place by smashing the front glass and then smearing his blood on a Jeep outside with the message “Fear God”, police said.

"There was very little left in the store that was reusable," according to a police report at tcpalm.com reported in the Palm Beach Post.

Police over the weekend charged Michael Novatka of West Palm Beach with five felony counts of criminal mischief. Novatka, 26, told the authorities that God led him to the business to damage it.

"It's a little scary. I scared myself when I saw what I did," Novatka is quoted saying in the affidavit.

He is being held in the Martin County Jail.
