Man, woman charged with Bradenton car break-in

MANATEE -- A man and a woman were arrested early Wednesday, after they were spotted breaking into a car in Bradenton, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

The victim discovered Courtney N. Stephenson, 19, and Seide Edson, 22, inside his car in the parking lot of the Gardenwalk Condos, 5310 26th St. W. When they fled on foot, the victim briefly followed them before calling 911, according to a news release.

Responding deputies found Edson in the parking lot of a nearby complex, the Sanctuary Condos, and detained him. Also, Stephenson was spotted leaving the area and she was detained, according to the sheriff's office.

The victim identified Edson and Stephenson as they people he saw in his car, and they were arrested.

Stephenson was charged with burglary and was being held on $5,000 bond at the Manatee County jail.

Edson was charged with burglary and possession of burglary tools. He was being held on bonds totaling $5,750.
