Two men hide cocaine in mouths while searched by Bradenton police

BRADENTON -- Two men were arrested Tuesday after hiding cocaine in their mouths from police, arrest reports show.

On Tuesday afternoon, police stopped Richard Norton, 18, and Dustin Riddle, 19, for a bicycle traffic violation in a “known drug area,” in the 1000 block of 13th Avenue West, reports show.

Police found cocaine in their mouths after demanding them to spit out the drugs and pressing under their chins. Both men eventually complied.

Riddle was charged with crack cocaine possession and tampering with evidence. He was released on his own recognizance.

Norton was charged with rock cocaine possession, tampering with evidence and resisting an officer without violence. He was released after posting bonds totaling $2,750.
