3 arrested in Palmetto burglaries

PALMETTO -- An alert neighbor helped lead to the arrest of three people for burglary, the Palmetto Police Department reports.

The three forced their way into an unoccupied home located in the 1100 block of 4th Street West Friday morning and stole tools and personal items. An alert neighbor saw the trio and called the Palmetto Police Department. All three were located in the area and the stolen property was recovered.

The three who were arrested: Josua Hernandez, 20, Erica River, 22, and Lupita Flores, 23, all of Palmetto. The three suspects were booked into the Manatee County Jail, charged with burglary to a residence and resisting without violence, for giving officers false names during the investigation.
